The Ohio Swarm is a Mid-Continental Football League (MCFL) team that began in 1993 in Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to bringing entertaining and quality football to Central Ohio. The men who play for The Swarm are mostly home-grown talent who are often overlooked because they do not follow traditional, collegiate pathways to get to the national and international football leagues. The Ohio Swarm organization makes it possible for these intelligent and talented ball-players to "get their shot at the big leagues" by providing opportunities for our players to be noticed, while at the same time, making their education a primary focus.

The Ohio Swarm joined the Mid Continental Football League in 1994. The Ohio Swarm provide players with a professional opportunity while they complete degrees and / or begin their work careers. They continue to provide non-college bound players with a pathway toward paid-to-play professional football.
